I understand how trying a new stylist or a new style can be so anxiety inducing so I’ve built an experience around letting go of it all. And it begins with a complimentary 15 minute consultation.
We’ll discuss your goals, concerns and develop a plan that works for your daily life, your finances and the time you budget toward your hair care. You’ll leave your consultation with all the information you need, whether you decide to continue with me or to search out another stylist that fits your needs.

Lagom Slow-Living Salon is located inside The City Suites on Republic Road in Springfield MO.

The City offers plenty of free parking in a well lit lot just outside the front door. When you arrive, please come in and have a seat in the front lounge—I will find you there at your appointment time. There is a bathroom situated in the front for your use.

I’ll see you to my suite and then give you a few minutes of privacy to get comfortable and arrange your things. A blanket, laptop desk, warm drinks, along with a chill indie playlist and aromatherapy akin to a walk in the woods is there to greet you.

Lagom is the culmination of 15 years in the industry collecting the best techniques, client feedback, and adding my unique view on what a salon experience COULD be. I cannot wait to share it with you.

I have just what you need

Each service begins with a brief consultation before I begin. And then I’ll encourage you to completely tune out and dive in to yourself—a good book, Netflix, knitting or eyes closed. Be sure to bring earbuds and silence your phone to ensure our relaxing environment. And The City offers complimentary wi-fi to make your visit a smooth one.

I completely enjoy curating drinks for my clients so rest assured you’ll be offered water, tea, coffee or a seasonal warm cuppa.

I always ask if you’d prefer the window blinds open or closed for “full hibernation mode”. I find overhead and cool lighting ghastly so you’ll be wrapped in warming lamplight and natural light. (unless I absolutely need more light, of course!)

Flexible payment options and hair care for the care-free, minimalist

I carry lines that are proud in their environmental (and insta-worthy!) packaging, quality botanicals and multi-use elixirs. I’m not a salesperson,, but there’s a good chance you’ll crave the results these products offer.

When possible I like to offer refills on shampoos and at a 10% discount so that together we can do just a bit more for Mother Earth.

With transparent pricing you can bring the exact amount ( sorry, I don’t have the option to offer change!), use a card, or AfterPay.

  • I wanted to message you yesterday but just couldn't quite find the words. What you do is important. It matters. The way you do it is so beautiful. When I commented on the playlist it was just one of many things I noticed that I knew you did with great thought and intention. Most people don't notice and you could easily have skipped those steps.
